Intended Audience
This activity is intended for physicians involved in the management of liver disorders.

Program Objectives
The main objective of the symposium is to provide the attendees an opportunity to increase their knowledge of Primary BiliaryCirrhosis (PBC), Primary Sclerosing Colangitis (PSC), and Nonalcoholic Steatohepatitis (NASH) in order to enhance the appropriate management of patients with these diseases. After attending this symposium, the participants should be able to:

  • Describe the role of ursodeoxycholic acid in the treatment of PBC, PSC and Overlap Syndrome
  • Summarize the definition of Overlap Syndrome, the validity of such a diagnosis and approaches to its treatment
  • Cite the current approaches to the diagnosis and management of NASH
